Today i lost all faith in this website.

Almost a month ago i reported someone for scamming me yet apparenlty it was my fault I was scammed!

I paid someone to upload my trailer to their youtube channel and it was agreed it would be there "forever". However a few hours later it was taken down so i reported them to youtube, paypal and here. The paypal report instigated a chargeback.

I mean surely it doesn't take a whole lot of common sense to understand that the chargeback occured due to my reporting of them removing the video first?!? and let's face it, if i did indeed do the chargeback first as claimed, then why would I report them, draw all this attention to myself and risk getting myself banned for scamming!?!

I have stated more than once that the video was removed and THEN the chargeback was instigated due to my reporting of the fact that the video was removed but the "scam reslover" isn't listening to me and determined to side with the scammer.

Paypal have also closed the case in my favour.

This whole process has meant I have completly lost faith in this website, the safety of it and that scammers will be dealt with appropiatly.

Apparently the scammers excuse makes perfect sense to the "scam resolver"

"Scam resolver" - scammer: If you agreed to keeping these videos on your channel forever then why did you in fact remove them?

Scammer - "scam resolver": I removed them because I promised to keep them on my channel forever as long as he didn't charge back. Although that wasn't directly stated, it's quite obvious that if I'm paid to do something and then the money is taken back that I'm going to remove the video I didn't have the money from.

"scam resolver" - me: If you reported this to paypal and they did chargeback the money then this would be your fault and therefore that is why the videos were removed.

me- "scam resolver": I do not know how many times i need to say this. THEY REMOVED THE VIDEO FIRST!!! have you asked them to show what time they removed the video from their site? I must say that this is a very poor process to go through and i do not understand why this person is still on the site, still able to scam people. As i stated before, clearly I would not be reporting this person for scamming if i did a charge back first, one would think i would keep rather quiet about that!

I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall!

I can get why you're frustrated, but you're making this statement without any proof to back it up. I gladly never had to do a chargeback on paypal, but don't you have to show anything that makes it clear the video was taken down?

Just stumbled across this post, I agree with the poster TBH. Paypal aren't stupid, and would only accept a claim and chargeback if they saw proof that an agreement was not met, in other words, for the chargeback to even occur, Paypal would probably have checked the YT channel to see if the claim was valid.
So Paypal taking your side of the dispute is essentially evidence enough against the scammer if I am not mistaken.
