I am sure that I am not the only person in this forum that has experienced false accusations like someone defaming you for apparently 'scamming' (when in reality you probably never talked to them before) so my suggestion is that is someone accuses another person for example for scamming, that person has to show proof otherwise they will get a warning point. This is because I have seen so many times toxic people going around and accusing others just to defame them and refuse to provide any evidence to back up what they are saying.

What do you guys think? Is it a good idea?

Basically the thread is enforcing these rules on which I agree about.

Rule: 1.5 Do not slander or otherwise trash another member, person, or thread.
Warning Points: 1.5 Defamatory/Trashing Behavior: 5 | 6

Rule: 9.2 Do not accuse members of scamming without linking a scam report on that member which you have started.
Warning Points: 9.1-5 Reputation System Violation: 4 | N/A

You can view the rules here (https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/rules/)

They are rules but they aren’t enforced

Well by that logic, what's the point in making a suggestion to make a rule for it? "They aren't enforced" so it'll just be useless because it won't be enforced.

What you're suggesting is pretty much in the rules already, afaik. If you accuse someone of scamming in, say, negrep, you HAVE to show proof.
If you repeatedly accuse them in a normal thread, it can be called harassment or defamation etc...

I never saw it like that but fair enough, thanks :)

Tip from me, if people accuse you, call them out on it, and make absolutely sure to retain calm. The few times I snapped at people during arguments etc, I tended to start losing. Replying in a 'mature' manner will automatically want neutral parties to side with you because you're not being nasty.
