Okay, so today i got my first "False" Negative rep. The business account Evoking Network false repped me as I devouched the user.

I think there should be a new system, that makes the user provide proof of the reason they had negative reputation or that an staff member reviews all the neg reps and accepts the few that have proper reasons.

What do you guys think?

Jesus, the staff already have enough on their plate. Why would they need to dedicate time to reputation reviews?

Report it if it's a fake/false reputation. With proof and enough information for the staff members.
I messaged staff, they just told me to report. I exposed a dude and he called me angry. Check GCserver recent posts.

So you only have to have proof for negative rep, and not positive rep? Because I know there are people out there that just + rep people for no real reason.
The problem is people won't be bothered reporting their good rep, maybe a public evidence log for the reps so members who have a lot of free time can just skim through it and report all the false rep they find?

I suggest telling the entire story that led to it as well as describing your reaction and his reaction. That has worked 3 times for me[DOUBLEPOST=1501624945][/DOUBLEPOST]
The problem with that, is that if its not your profile you can't report a reputation, unless you make an entire support ticket for every single one you find, and members are already complaining that the staff aren't replying fast enough to them. And they would have to change it to make members be allowed to report reputation.
that's weird? I can definitely report other people's reputation...
And I doubt it's residual mod powers, mick made sure to remove all of those months ago.[DOUBLEPOST=1501625118][/DOUBLEPOST]

yeah you have several of those, and I also think there's at least one or two with me. Most 'false' positive rep will only be reported (usually by others) because it is low quality, whereas negative rep will be reported mainly by the user in question and any friends on the site he might have. And negative rep will usually be reported because people believe it false, no matter how true. Therefore, adding proof for negative rep would make the decision a lot easier. For positive this isn't really needed, since anyone can tell that "vouch" by itself is not constructive reputation.[DOUBLEPOST=1501625210][/DOUBLEPOST]Personal change on this suggestion:
I don't know how this would work for the site, but perhaps it is possible to allow people to upload a file when giving reputation, and then make that file viewable? This would allow people to upload proof without immediately making it required.
It could also make clear whether the exchange took place on skype/discord or on MCM itself, which also affects the weight of the reputation.
