False Reputation Protection / Reputation Cooldown

Recently a lot of people have been screwed over in terms of reputation. Like 10-12 people will false rep someone, and their reputation from there and on is screwed up for all future purposes. Here is what I propose:

A Reputation cooldown for the user who leaves them.
-A user should have a at least 1 hour cooldown of leaving false & positive reputations to prevent spam / false reputations on a bunch of users. I don't know if this is already a feature, but this should be.

So say someone is Exit Scamming, with a high rep.
One neg rep from a new user who was scammed will seem false. However, multiple Negative Reputations stating the user is exit scamming will prevent them.

Would be a bit of a pain for people who leave reputation for the right reasons. If they have done multiple deals in a short space of time. But would have little to no affect on false rep. If you pissed someone off enough for them to -rep you. They wont mind waiting.

There is that. But think about it. I have 5 reputation. Someone views me as business, and makes a convo w/ a bunch of users to target me and try to eliminate me. They ruin my rep with 10+ negative reputations. No one will trust me now.

Report it? Show staff you haven't done anything and they'll all be suspended.

This is just a suggestion on something that can prevent spam false reps, like 18 different people negative repping, ruining it for good. There is a report feature but this would work a bit better[DOUBLEPOST=1504725889][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's why I said 1 hour. I don't know any banned scammer on this website who scammmed 20 different people in the period of an hour lol

This idea wouldn't work, sure, staff are busy and all, but they'll get round to it.
My rep was removed in under an hour.

The reputation system already has a maximum reputation limit of (3) negative or positive per 24 hours. Restricting the timeframe between the limit of 3 wouldn't protect against false reputation, but cause confusion, annoyance, and utter chaos.

Reputation is based on opinion, therefore the only way to enforce the rules and determine false from true is by human judgement, and thus we have the McM staff team.

I believe it's been changed to be based on actual business deals transacted with money or trade of valued items. If it is just opinion, I believe they get reported now especially opinionated no facts negative reps.

How are negative reps dealt with then if they're opinion based with no proof of scam or such?

And if they accuse a user of scamming without linking a scam report, then the reputation can be reported as that is a violation of the reputation rules:
9.2 Do not accuse members of scamming without linking a scam report on that member which you have started.
