Family VS Money

If it wasn't for my parents and sister, I'd pick the billion dollars. The rest of my family isn't exactly super-great, though they're nice people.
my 'friends' have been pretty on and off since I started highschool, and I've lost contact with most of them.
As for pets, I dont currently have any myself, and nothing says I can't get any afterwards.
So yeah, parents and sister are the only thing stopping me, basically.

I have a pretty crappy family, so yeah unfortunately I would choose the billion dollars so I could move to LA and party with celebrities like Selena Gomez

Define "crappy". I have a family which can afford basic things, and raise 3 children, but they can't afford iPhone 5's and shit.
I would still choose them over 1 billion dollars.

So basically, anyone who chooses option one is a lower human being according to you? no matter if they come from a family that would be defined as abusive by most child protection agencies?
While I'll agree way too many people cry their parents are horrible because they won't buy them the newest playstation or iphone, there are plenty of people out there with genuinely bad families.

Well, it kinda depends. If people choose the first option cause their parents won't buy them a playstation, then they're low. If they choose option 1 cause there parents are abusive/are bad, then I don't blame them.
