Hello, Minecrafters.
I am just scraping the surface with the idea, however, I am considering opening up a long term Vanilla orientated survival server that does not reset... like ever. However, is there anything I should know, or something anyone wish they knew sooner? I do have a few concerns, how do servers like such exist? As time goes on, worlds get bigger in size in terms of file size, how do server owners combat that without sinking hundreds in upgrading their storage space? Any tips/help would be appreciate.
Obviously world borders will exist, so the world doesn't just generate all day long everyday, however, expanding the world border every so often should be expected to give new players fresh land.. I guess I am just confused and am looking for tips/notes.
