as some of you may know i’ve been a part of the BBB (MCM) community for a long time now.
I’ve recently started a minecraft server list (I know, good luck competing with .org)
But i’ve noticed a huge gap in the australian / new zealand gaming market in that there are NO aussie server lists for minecraft or any other multiplayer.
The problem i’m trying to solve here is that a lot of server list websites do have country specific sections, however they don’t verify, so it’s often you’ll jump onto a server and have a 500 ping and end up just lagging out and wasting your time.
My website aims to not only give a place for Aussie and New Zealand gamers to find servers, but a place they can trust will have local servers they can rely on.
Since this forum is full of server owners and gamers, I’d like your feedback, even if it’s negative
1. Would you bother listing your server here? Why/Not?
2. What info should each listing show? What do you care about when looking?
3. How should I rank the servers? By clicks, votes, balanced rotation?
4. What would make this BETTER than being on the other server lists? Verification, better analytics, etc?
Right now everything is manually added, you can submit via form to be reviewed. Later, we will have owner logins so that owners can manage their servers, see how many visitors their listing gets, CTR, etc.
