Feedback on Business Idea

Hi BuiltbyBit,

I have an idea for a company I'd like some feedback on, this idea may get stolen but oh well.

The service would essentially be a VPN hosting service. Customers would be able to buy the server they choose, with both a secure, private VPN protocol, and a custom user management panel automatically installed. Clients would be able to add as many profiles onto their server as they'd like (capped based on what server hardware they choose) for different devices or friends to connect on. Essentially a VPN with the option to expand it out to friends and other devices as you'd please. Users would choose which location they'd like to host in, they'd have the option to turn off/on different features (log keeping, different security protocols etc.)

It sounds like a promising idea, but the startup may be expensive. I recommend running each client on a VM, using ProxMox or a similar OS like ESXi.

You can throttle each VM's bandwidth and such too thus giving you more options for your payment plans.
