I'm not the best when it comes to upgrading my PC, However- I know a few things. I'm putting together a build for Christmas as I thought of treating my self to a new computer, My current computer is;
AMD Ryzen 7 1700
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz
MSI B350 GAMING PRO CARBON
4096MB ATI Radeon RX 470

So I thought I may as well upgrade, I put together a PC Partpicker list which I'll link below. I'm looking for a bit of feedback on if the parts I'm getting are worth it or if there is something I could upgrade to. My budget is around £800 - £900. So take a look and tell me what you think.

Also, When I upgrade is there anything I can do with these parts? They're pretty much useless to me when I upgrade.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

If your upgrades go over the wattage of your power supply you can easily brick your pc and if you end up pushing the wattage of your power supply (say, using 450 of 500 watts) that will easily decrease the lifespan of your pc and can then brick it.
I don't know what kind of PSUs you've been using that somehow bricks parts but they force shut themselves off if you try to use more watts than the PSU is capable of in my experience. I've ran a gtx 1080 and quad core ryzen cpu on 450W; you'd be surprised how far only 450W will take you.

Also, When I upgrade is there anything I can do with these parts? They're pretty much useless to me when I upgrade.
Sell them on r/hardwareswap or ebay. I've sold locally on hardware swap before and no issues and much less hassle than shipping.

I don't know your intended use for your computer is but I don't think you'll see too much of an improvement unless you're playing AAA games. If your current mobo supports 3rd gen ryzen, you should keep the same board and update the bios. I know some b350s are pretty horrendous but if the board supports it and you haven't noticed any issues with it currently, I'd keep the same board. If budget isn't an issue, then that's a solid mobo according to the b450/x470 tier list. I wouldn't blame you for upgrading your mobo after my experience with a gigabyte b350 gaming 3. I ended up with a crosshair 7 because I got it for $100 off.

I'd for sure update your ram kit. The sweet spot seems to be 3600mhz, and to not break the bank, I assume people are using cas 18 sticks. This is where you'll see the most uplift in performance because infinity fabric is a thing.

If you're using a 2060 on a 1080p monitor, then good for you. I found an amazing deal at the time, $250 I think it was, so I stuck a 2060 in my brother's computer for the lols. It'll probably last a few years. I'd make a recommendation of a 1080p card if you're trying a save a few bucks but the low end of the gpu market is such a mess. I think the current budget king is now the 1660 super but it doesn't seem like you're on a tight budget.

What's your storage situation look like? I'd assume there's at least a (nvme) ssd in there

Change the 2060 to rx 5700 if you’re more interested in gaming, I have the 2060 but I’m going to use it for productivity.

I've had pretty bad experience with AMD GPU's so I'm swapping to NVIDIA again, Love the CPU's however.

MarkElf So with my Computer I plan on doing gaming and coding, mainly Overwatch, CS:GO, Starwars Fallen Order, Minecraft. My current storage is 2 TB HDD, 1 TB HDD and a 250 GB NVME SSD. Do you think the 2060 could support a 144 HZ Monitor? I'm currently running 2x60HZ Monitors and would really like to get a 144 HZ sometime.

With a 2060, which is pretty much a 1070ti, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to it 144fps on any of the titles you listed (minus star wars maybe as I'm not familiar with it but you should be fine) on 1080p for sure and mostly fine for 1440p (again, starwars might struggle to keep up a bit but it's fine with free/gsync). Overwatch, cs:go, and minecraft are light games and don't require much to run them. I would go into a store and try 144hz, at minimum moving a window around and your mouse. Personally, I can't go back to 60hz after using 144hz for over a year as it makes 60hz look so choppy. I started noticing after about a month. And back to the store bit, looking at resolution. I can't tell the difference when looking at 1440p and 1080p so I might have wasted a lot of money getting parts to run 1440p but then again, I wasn't lucky enough to have 144hz 1080p IPS panels on the market a year ago.
I mostly asked for storage in the event that you somehow didn't have an ssd in a modern build as last I checked, prices were still low and sales regularly went off on /r/buildapcsales. In which case, you'd probably have a better experience buying an nvme with a Piston E12 I think it was. Not important I guess as you have an nvme drive; 256GB is enough.

I also prefer nvidia over amd for graphics cards, mostly for the control panel/updates. Road maps definitely show AMD is the way to go for cpus for at least the next 2+ years. Rumors going around recently saying nvidia's next gpus are going to be decent, and not really a refresh like Turing was, so might just be worth holding out for that but if you get a good sale, just jump on the 2060.
