I'd just like to say that this thread is personal and is in no way a official announcement or anything like that.

Hi there,

Around 7 months ago I became the administrator of MC-Market again. Since that day, we've implemented some things, changed some rules around, added a bunch of cool new features (thanks to our developer Lyphiard) and we've been generally trying to improve the site where we can. We cannot describe how fast that time has passed by.

Certain months I invest more time into than others due to my job and personal life but that's how it goes and me and my team have always given our fullest for this forum. We have a bunch of stuff planned coming up the next few months so you'll face some big updates early/mid 2017 if things go well.

On the 2nd of April we released a small announcement. Remember how some of you were extremely sure this was a April fools joke? Good times. The announcement got mostly positive feedback which really got us pumped to start working on other improvements. That announcement also ended up being the most liked thread on MC-Market. That got us even more happy and motivated. It took me some time to settle in and get things sorted but a huge update was released on June 29th, 2016. This update really improved our forum. It was visible on the visitor statistics too! A bunch of new features and functionalities were implemented into the website. We also had policy and rule changes which were taken very well by our community so I'd like to thank you for providing us with all the feedback.

We did a survey this summer which received a total of 258 responses and I'm truly thankful for that. I went through them and I've PM'd some members which had concerns about certain topics. I still feel like we can never ask too much feedback as there is always room for improvement with anything. Hence why I'm creating this thread.

I'd also personally like to use this moment to thank everyone that has contributed to MC-Market. Current and old staff members have done truly amazing things by keeping the forums as clean and high quality as possible. It's really amazing to think that such a small team is able to maintain and provide a safe marketplace for such a big crowd.

So my questions is, how has your experience with MC-Market so far and is there anything you'd like to ask, point out or tell us? This can be anything really. Even compliments to staff members if you feel generous! I'll be going through all responses and provide a response where needed.

Please don't post anything off-topic on this thread.

Thank you!

I like the community, but I feel like things could have been handled differently/better at times. It definitely has improved as a site though.

listen to community input more, especially when it comes to og accounts. i know a lot of the main and top og sellers are stopping posting on mcm because of recent events (accounts being locked due to poor exposure of threads to randoms) via mcm.
other than that it's going nice.
maybe add some new name colours

Awful, worst site on the planet, domain should be banned by ICANN.

In general, it's been alright. I've just found it strange when rules like having to pay someone back if your account gets compromised and scams using your account are there - or having staff sometimes throw insults around at members. It's weird adapting to, but it's not too bad.

Also, replies like this should probably be more professional:

I must say, I miss the "Offering and "Requesting" sub sections.
With the requesting and offering threads in 1 section, threads get pushed down pages stupidly fast.
Another nice thing about it was it look up less space on the home page, compared to how it is now with the "building", "configuration", etc all displayed.

Unfortunately applying changes to the account system isn't that easy. It's our most popular section of the forum so the smallest changes could affect it big time. We're still looking for the all possible solutions out there before we start changing stuff around.

Add the gift button from premium to supreme upgrade back :)
Removed due to certain issues where people without Premium could be upgraded to Supreme straight. Chances of it being added soon are small because of this.

Sorry about this...
An error we couldn't recover from occurred. You might want to try again later.

I know it does this when the account has parental controls on it but the accounts I am trying to add don't and it still says this.
Try changing your skin to something from Minecraftskins.net and retry verifying after that.

The community is fine but I feel like some users need to have a 2nd chance.

The thing that bothers me there is "Some". The key to anything is consistency. If I have to start giving certain users a 2nd chance, it'll come off as being biased and we'll get people spamming stuff like "But John got a 2nd chance! Why can't Mike get a 2nd chance??". The reason why the forum feels more clean and enforced is because we have been giving out the punishments people deserve.

Yeah I get that but some users did severe damage to the community as in scamming tons of people and some didn't really do much. Only unban the people who didn't affect the community a shit ton. I can get where you come from

Take this to suggestions unless it's there already. A reason why I personally wouldn't find this useful is the fact you're splitting traffic that's looking/offering the same thing.[DOUBLEPOST=1477442772][/DOUBLEPOST]

Disagreed. You've taken that screenshot completely out of context. For anyone else reading, locate the reply above in this thread and read the context: http://www.mc-market.org/threads/144399/

I don't really make any special effort myself in being extremely professional on this forum and I consider that response just fine considering the context and OP.

Love the forums, but hate all the debate threads, they get me into them, and then it just gets carried away.

I read the thread and came across that at the end, it just seemed a little too unprofessional to me. \_o_/ I don't know though, I guess most people here (including myself) just sort of get used to it. It would be a nice cosmetic if those situations were dealt with more professionally though.

I just don't think insulting someone back helps in the slightest with stopping them from making alt accounts.

If you're looking for a thread requesting a service, go to the forum of the service in question, and at the top there will be a list of all the tags in that forum. Click the "requesting" tag, and it'll only show the requesting threads. Filtering it for you.
Same for offering, free, one time, or any other tag.
I love our new layout a lot better.
I find it makes everything a lot easier to find, if you know how to use it.

MC-Market has been amazing (with a few ups-and-downs) since I have joined. Let me take you through a detailed history:

On April 27th of 2015, I was chilling in the shoutbox of my favorite server, Prxcraft, owned by a man by the name KevinEssence. Chatting with friends, I noticed that Coco(nut88123) had joined the chat. She started talking about MC-Market, and I was intrigued. I decided to hop on and create an account. I created an introduction - not knowing what talents I had and what I could offer, and I got a bunch of kind replies (by people who sadly aren't active around here anymore). I came on for a few days before leaving for a while without much to do.

On an unknown date, at least one or two months later - I remembered MCM. I decided to hop on and at that time remembered what services I was qualified to provide - nothing. So, I decided to do some research on what I like to do. I don't exactly recall, but somehow I gave advice to chucK_ on some project of his, and he was my first vouch. So I began to give advice....

Over time at MCM, I became close friends with Mick, Longze, and a bunch of other amazing people. I gained friends, some of which were banned (RIP ATV), some of which became inactive, and some are still here today. I offered services to them, they recommended to friends, etc.

Since I have joined, MCM has gone through Verringer, Mick, Rocket/BeBosny duo, and now BeBosny. I believe that Mick made MCM great, and BeBosny has made it greater. I have enjoyed ALMOST every minute of my time on this site. From avsterbone running outside screaming things for money to Coco's amazing art that I magically got for free one day (I had been begging for art from her since I met her)... MCM is amazing.

MCM continues to grow, and I extend my thanks to BeBosny, Mick, Coco, and the older community of MC-Market.
