I really like the concept of it, the music reminds of some of those NYC vloggers (Casey Neistat, Jesse Wellens etc.)
What I think you could do to improve is (based on the fact that you want to give an impression of an NYC vlogger):
Your ideas are good, which is what the trailer-making community needs. All you have to do now is improve your editing game, which is no-where near as hard as coming up with new ideas.
- Turn FOV down to the lowest you possibly can. Trust me, it makes it look much better.
- Improve camera movement. Make it more simple, cinematic.
- Setting the time to evening might make it look better.
- Record for longer amounts of time so the cinematic is slower (this reduces lag). You can always change the speed of it in post-production.
- If you want, I can send you a nice shader pack that includes depth of field to give a more accurate camera cinematic effect.
I'd work on your jumpcuts. Right between 0:32 and 0:33 you can briefly see the scoreboard in-game on the right side of the screen.
I made a new oneGet rid of the awful max FOV and you are good, it is ok to increase it a little bit.. but not max it. Also at some parts you are like lagging, either that or a poor slomo effect, looks strange
did you watch both? On the 2nd one I tried to sync it because I messed up on the 1st. I use camtasia to edit.I'm just going to say it bluntly, the sync it appalling. In fact, I can't even tell if you're even attempting to sync it most of the time during the video.
Sync is a fundamental component of video editing, specifically trailers. Add transitions and black/white flashes that fit in with the music, it looks very amateur including a transition or a black screen that isn't even synchronous with the music.
Also use magic bullet looks to edit many elements of the aesthetics of your trailer in relation specifically to color correction and blur/glow effects.
Might I ask whether you use Vegas, After Effects or Premiere?
