As there's a bug with gif's, I thought I'd explain how to fix it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to post this earlier because I was falsely suspended.
If you upload a gif as a avatar now, it'll convert it to a static image. This isn't supposed to happen as avatar gif's are a Supreme feature.
The current PHP image processer is the default one. The default one doesn't process gif's with XenForo properly. MCM's questionable system admin needs to install ImageMagick and configure it with XenForo.
A simple Google would fix this. I guess that was too difficult.
