There should be a system of getting a user's IP/Mac Address or some other unique identity to prevent people from ban evading or making numerous account. 80%+ of bans are from ban evading/multiaccounting, there should be a fix...

Well, if the easiest way is with IP's, then just ban peoples' ip's... (unless they already do :p)

Well, they might be able to check their ips, but they should implement an ip-ban so it would greatly reduce alting.

Reading the suggestion rules would be helpful before suggesting...

I do not think there is any Xenforo add-on to do this, even if there was it is still easy to bypass...

They already IP ban people, however, people can use VPN's/proxies (also sold on this site, kind of odd) to bypass them.

I find it amusing to read these posts and responses of people who clearly have no idea what there talking about, and instead of providing a solution, they rather point out an issue they have no knowledge of. IP bans are already in place and checking ip's is easy. VPN's cannot be stopped, don't say "block VPN's either". As there are some plugins to block Public and "sell-out" vpn's. Many users use VPN's that are not tracked by these plugins or use private socks/proxies hooked into OpenVPN through a VPS or public server. The Alter Ego plugin is not effective either because many people clear their cookies or do not even allow sites to collect cookies. If someone really wanted on the site they could find a way.

Doesn't this already tell you something? It means we're catching them and taking action.

We already have the necessary and possibly best systems in place to detect multiple accounts.

If they could stop banned members from ban evading, they would.
Why would they want to spend so much of their time banning people, if they could get an auto ban system.
Although I'm suprised as to why you disagree Ajdin, I don't think you disagree, this just isn't possible.
