Reputaion used to be very easy to see right from the thread, it showed up in nice, big green and red boxes. Now, it’s just a tiny blue number down by reactions.

I found it much easier to see when it was more visible. Plus, now we can’t see how much neg rep someone has as long as they have enough positive rep to counteract it.

Anyone else agree they should make rep be more visible again?

I think having it visible from the thread people would just judge the user from that. This is what I hate because what if the user has some dumb reviews from childish people. He would just get judged without anyone actually going in and seeing what the neg rep was for.
That’s why there’s a system to report “dumb reviews” if they are truly dumb.

Mick can we get a response on this? Obviously most people want the reputation more visible :)

We need to see positive/negative reps in threads.
It can do a lot of harm to business especially for lower rep sellers for people to be unable to see their rep amount. Right now someone with 20 pos and 15 neg will look the same and someone with 5 pos and that just seems... dumb.
If the purpose of MCM is to buy and sell things it seems that the reputation of said buyers and sellers should be easy to access.

Exactly! That's what we're all saying.

But that defeats the purpose of reputation itself. You're saying because you can't see the numbers, it makes it impossible to see their rep. Well no, in fact it shouldn't have made a difference if you were properly reading reputation, instead of reading its quantified counterparts.

Edit: So what's the problem here? No one seems to be responding to me, or refuting my arguments, and yet people are disagreeing?

Agreed. There was literally no reason to remove the nice little green, gray and red boxes under your profile.

To me it took about 2 weeks to actually find this change... lol. Thought it was just a bug

Same, I had to ask in the shoutbox where my rep was.

We switched over to this new way of presenting reputation so that users would not feel like they're suddenly incredibly untrusted because they have a single negative reputation displaying so prominently on their profile. Having just a single number does give you a very simple number but it shouldn't ever be relied upon when deciding if a user is reputable or not, and instead, reading the actual feedback is more important.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
