Hello!

I am currently trying to sort out my deluxetags plugin but it doesn't seem to be working. I've done tons of research looking into other people's problems and it seems like they got the same one, but the solutions that apparently worked for them haven't worked for me. So the problem is that after I select a tag, nothing changes in chat. I have gone through the DeluxeTags config and disabled both DeluxeChat and ChatFormatting, and added the placeholder
{deluxetags_tag} to essentialschat which is the chat plugin that I'm using, but it doesn't seem to work either.

A couple things:

1. is "deluxe_chat: false" or true. If it's false try true, if it's true try false. Just trying to mess with it and see if it works.
2. Do you have PlaceholderAPI?
3. Make sure Variables.Custom_Enabled to true in settings.yml

I take no credit for any of the tactics stated above as I simply searched it up and got it from many sources.

Where I might I find Settings.yml?

So where I read it the user was using ChatControl to format his chat and in ChatControl it has settings.yml.

Lol so chat works now but not GUI lol

In the deluxetags config since your not using deluxechat you have to change the placeholders from %deluxetags_tag% to {deluxetags_tag}
