And where is the most secure place to buy a giftcode? Should I buy one from amazon or a game store?

Don't buy from other people if you plan to use the account as a main or something. Because yes, the giftcode is the TID.

EDIT: There isn't an option on the website to insert a giftcode, so how would I queue a snipe with it?
