Formula for calculating server cost

I thought of a formula for calculating the total server cost.. What do you guys think?

Donations monthly x 2
Player base (constant) x2
Number of public plugins 1/4
Cost of all custom plugins 2/3
Cost of all builds 1/3

Added together = total server cost!

I think its different per server. For example, I might have $1000 server donations but 10 player base because the server died down. Does it still mean it it worth $2020? (not including everything else)

You can't create a formula to calculate a server's price or worth. You simply can't make it up, it depends on how the server was made, its past, statistics, aspects, type, e.t.c

Obviously if this was a global way of appraising a server, it'd work, but this is not how it works. You can get an idea of the setup price using this method, but not the overall server price.

This isn't something that's calculated and is definitely determined on a case by case basis.

When a company acquires another company, they don't go "lets calculate the price using a formula", they run a cost benefit analysis and figure out how much value the acquisition would have to them.

Not really though because value is different depending on who is buying it. My server to me is worth far more than its appraisal value based off of your formula.

My server would cost $70 because I have $25 donations and 10 player playerbase. I didnt pay for plugins, builds, or use public plugins. That is an example of how it wouldnt work. Although it was a bold attempt, it is flawed. gg

Where is $70 from? $25x2 is $50 + 10(playerbase)x2 is 20 so 50+20=70?[DOUBLEPOST=1446670492][/DOUBLEPOST]I am just saying that my plugins that my friend coded for me is worth tons, then I have 2 entire cities done and one more getting worked on. I am just saying your formula was a great attempt at getting a worth of a server, but in my case, it wouldn't work.
