Expensive piece of shit, $100 for a $35 microcomputer (with 1 GB of ram and a shitty proccessor) for a server that's hosted on the LAN... 'can have all of your friends join it ' You mean your friends in the LAN..
You can host a server on any computer, just go to minecraft.net and download the latest minecraftserver and run it and give your friends your lan ip if you want a lan server... Paying $100 for a $30 microcomputer for 'parent controls' is super silly, if your child is acting up and playing minecraft when grounded then take away their computer dont buy a $100 device to do the same. Complete waste of money, I would never pay $100 for a LAN server when I can hit the 'open to LAN' or download and run minecraftserver from minecraft.net
With $100 you can buy real hosting for like $5 a month from a cheap host and get the same specs of a microcomputer, and you can have all of your friends join if they are in the lan or not. I like how it said 'My friend pays $50 a month for his server, this is $99 forever' That is really silly, because no host charges $50 a month for a server anymore... Most hosts charge like $5 a GB, and again, I bet that microcomputer only has the same inside of it.

I also like how they advertise it as 'You need a completely separate computer to host a minecraft server' You can host a server on the computer your playing minecraft on... Whats the electricity difference if you have your computer running all day playing minecraft, or you have your computer running all day playing minecraft and hosting a lan server.

Hosting a server on your home network to the public is a great way to get ddosed if your gonna port forward and just GIVE OUT YOUR IP TO EVERYONE. (which is why this server cant be anything more than in the lan, which is already built into the minecraft client with the 'open to lan' button) I think not having an internet connection is worse than a slow computer... Again buying a real server for $5 a month, (some are even cheaper) is a better solution.

I'm pretty sure Kickstarter has it's own system where it gets like 15% So F&F wouldn't be an option
