Greetings! I am going to lay out "laws" of the account market. These are all my opinions so please don't read this as if I am trying to be 100% factual.
1. An OG name's value is determined by its connotation and originality alone. If it has no general connotation or originality it is worth no more than a normal account.
This means that even though an account like "1234" is technically not a word like "Style", it still has value. It also means that an account like "MineKid" is not worth more than a normal account.
2. A non-OG account without anything special is worth $1 maximum. Special perks include, but are not limited to: ranks, capes, and TID.
This means that even if an account has a crappy name, it still can be worth money on the market if it has special perks.
3. Ranks are NOT worth what you paid for them. A sub-rule for this is that ranks are only worth money if they are from played servers.
This means your $50 rank on ILovePvp.biz isn't worth much if anything at all. May vary in cases of ranks like a Pre-EULA MVP rank of Hypixel.
4. Cape codes are ALWAYS worth more than non-OG, perkless caped accounts.
5. Name history affects price. If the accounts name history is clean it's worth more. If it has a few changes it's worth slightly less. If it's full of trash, it's worth even less.
This can be argued all day long, this is my opinion on reselling accounts with or without username history. It can easily vary by person, but this is the most common opinion I see.
6. 3 Letter accounts are worth no more or not much more than a normal account if they don't meet the conditions of Law 1.
7. Unmigrated accounts are not to be sold due to mc-market rules.
8. Adding letters, additional words, and numbers to a name with connotation ruins it's value. These accounts are worth the same as normal ones.
"Frog" is OG, but "TheFrog" and "TheFr0g" are not.
Thanks for reading, if you found this useful let me know below. If you see people who need to be educated of this kind of thing link them to this. If you feel I am mistaken about anything let me know below.
