I've created a formatter that treats each message as having four parts to it; the prefix, the identifier, the suffix, and the message content itself. You can define as many formats as you would like in the formats.yml file. The player's chat format is determined using the format's priority and permission node, i.e., the format with the highest priority that the player has permission for will be chosen. There is also PlaceholderAPI support. The prefix, identifier, and suffix components can have customizable hover messages and clickable command suggestions. There's also an option to change the permission node, the chat color, and the message prefix (i.e. the customary ':' or '»' before the message). I've tested it with LuckPerms and EssentialsX. I'd like people to try it out and give me some feedback as this is my first Spigot plugin. PM me if you would like to test it. I plan on posting it as a free resource once I decide it's stable for use.
