What's the point in trashing this thread when he's offering free art to improve and actually create a portfolio? It's free, why should it matter if you think he's sketchy or not?

Not that, but saying that he's sketchy because he's making a thread to make work then showcase his own isn't something he should be called sketchy for, it's a normal thing to do free work and showcase what you think you can do via others work.

I think I need to make this clear for the people who didn't read one of the last lines. He has given examples of what he could do. The user hasn't said that he made the art. If he was charging money maybe you can call it sketchy but he isn't. It's completely free.
I like to wait for the user to have a chance to at least make something and showcase it before people comment especially when it comes to free work. If he doesn't want to make art for himself that he won't use and prefers to make free art for people who actually need it and will use it and at the same time growing his reputation that's his option. The examples are what he believes he has the ability to do. Whether he can do that, you can only see when he finishes someone's work.
Sorry for the long reply but it kind of bothered me to see all of this on a thread that's offering free work.
