Hello everyone, I come from a community that just experienced their owner abandoning them and server files getting released to the public.

The server is called Complexity Raid, and it derived from the old Savage Realms raid server

Here are a few of the unique additions to the server:
-full class pvp (custom system with inhouse plugins used on the old Savage Realms server)
-Achievement System (different tasks players can do to earn quartz blocks)
-Tiered obby breaker (endstone = 4 hits, obsidian = 8, quartz blocks = 10. Nether and end are disabled, and quartz can only be obtained through achievements)
-Complexity Raid Points (points awarded for building, breaking, farming, etc. The currency that is used to purchase from a limited list of spawners and other miscellaneous supplies)
-Scaffolding (Custom blocks that allow players to place sandwalls quickly)
-Unique Custom Biomes Plugin (Beautiful custom biomes. Includes a "hell" biome, where the surface is obsidian and there are several layers of endstone beneath)

The server isn't what you typically find in factions servers nowadays, it follows the style of Savage Realms Raid (first top factions server). Water protection is disabled, limited claims and allies, and a balanced economy that requires significant investment to raid. The server is not pay to win (something the community has valued for quite some time and wishes to retain), and there is a lot of unique content in this server that you can't find anywhere else.

The files can be found on the forum: complexraid.org (owner deleted all the threads, co owner posted files in response).

Notice the monthly high- 136 players. This server was built around an established community, and there has been no advertising done at all. That number comes from the community, and if someone were to make a successful mirror they could expect similar support.

The IP is play.complexraid.org - Feel free to log in and look around. Use /tasks /classes and /shop to get a feel of a few of the plugins I mentioned above.

I've never actually ran a server before, so I don't know if the files would include the world or not. If they do, the spawn and shop and warzone are all quite impressive.

I'm posting this because I've been a part of this community for over 3 years now. I watched Savage Realms grow to the #1 spot on voting sites for over a year, and I witnessed the collapse of the network. I participated in every community restart since, and I fear Complexity Raid may have been the last.

The content is here. This is server fills a niche within factions that is currently vacant of servers. With proper implementation, one of you could make this thing huge. I know for a fact there isn't a single member of the community with the skills to do this, as I have seen many attempt and ultimately fail. I'm posting here in the attempt that someone with the skills can recreate the server hundreds of players love.

Here is a bit of the class pvp system in action:

The guy recording was using the marksman class. Notice the different sets of armor and abilities that take place in the battles. There are 14 classes total I believe, on Complexity 7 of the 14 were enabled.

Here is a short video of one of the bases on Complexity:

The removal of water prot and addition of different protection blocks allowed factions to take on many different creative base designs. We saw many of the larger factions utilizing surprising amounts of endstone on different outer defenses, and obsidian/quartz patterns on their interior parts. Smaller factions (like the one shown above) found many uses of quartz, as it is easy to gather in small quantities, but not in large enough quantities for larger factions to solely use it.

If anyone has any questions whatsoever, feel free to reply below. My only goal in making this post is to find an owner that can Complexity Raid to the top. I simply want a server myself and all my friends can play on, similar to the one we have been playing on for years.

EDIT: The forums have gone inactive. The files can be downloaded here: 74.63.197.226/serverzip.zip

For those unsure of the legitimacy, this is what the co-owner posted on the forums and is sharing on his wall and personal forums. Here is his enjin profile: http://www.savagereborn.net/profile/3501141

The files are public on the forum- complexraid.org

This isn't for one of you lucky forum members to get an easy cash grab. The more people with the files, the more chances our community can experience the server to its full extent.

Where's these files at?

It appears as if the website just went down, the co-owner just reposted them to his enjin wall at http://www.savagereborn.net/profile/3501141

74.63.197.226/serverzip.zip is the download

Also if anyone plans on creating a server using the files, let me know and I'll keep tabs on it to alert the rest of the community. Be warned, if you just make a an exact copy with pay2win donor ranks, it is unlikely that I will tell anyone about it.

Seems to good to be true lol. Why would you give it up for free?

Because I am someone who has been playing on this type of server (non-op factions, limited claims, challenging economy, obsidian bases, class pvp, etc.) for over 3 years now with the same group of people and I don't want the fun to end. I had no part in the creation of the server, and I'm trying to get as many potential owners out there the files that I can. The more servers with similar set ups, the better chance one of them gets popular, and possible even sparks a rebirth of the genre.

Anyways, a lot of people have been pming me. I'll try to get to everyone soon. If you decide to recreate this server, give me the IP, I'll organize all the servers and tell the other members about our options for playing going forward.

And for those wanting to start up the server, I would look into tweaking the stats on classes in order to create a more balanced PVP setting. The class system was based off of a limited enchantment pre-1.8 server, and the owner didn't do a very good job tweaking the classes to compensate for 1.8 with no enchantments disabled. Before the server shut down, gladiator was by far the strongest class, and the only others that really saw much play were scout and bard.

Besides that, economy could use a little tweaking to discourage people from slaving at sugarcane and cactus.
