Hey so I've been taking a class on web development for about two days now and I'm about 20% done with the class. I am a very fast learner and will learn quick. I am going to need to make a few websites to test my skill. So I will be making two websites for two people. All it requires is that you vouch after I finish. This will take about two weeks for each week website so first come first serve basis. But you must also be a reputable member.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from learning web development because I think it's a great thing to do, but if you're still learning maybe you should stick to personal projects first. The reason being is if you take up a job and you realize you can't do it because of your experience, you're in a pickle.

Good luck with learning!

But you rate my thread "funny". I love the comment but not the rating. Also I'm doing this to learn how to develop a website for a "client". Not for myself I was just looking to see if anyone wanted a simple free website. But dang a guy like this comes around and automatically critiques my free work. I know you were just trying to help but that funny rating is going to far. Also you say good luck with learning but then blatantly leave a funny rating on my post. Like do you even know what a funny rating is used for when it comes to things like this? A funny rating is used for when someone post is supposedly "funny". But putting a funny rating on this post means you literally think this post is a joke. A waste of time, a freaking waste of space on this website. And anyways would you like a funny rating on posting something that is generally done to help other! I mean this is a free service anyone could have requested any type of website. But there are still people like this all over MCM. They still critique people who are just trying to give people free things and help people out. I know this is a free service and my websites might still be way a way from being close to a payed service. But I wasn't asking for money, and still this thread gets a funny rating. Sorry about this rant but it's so true, at least to me. I could go on and on but ill stop here thank you.

No it's better they do, it destroys bad habits earlier on before they're ever formed. I was touring a university and someone asked if it would be better if they had previous experience with java before taking a java course and the professor replied, "No, it's probably better they don't know anything that way we don't have to undo bad habits." Something along the lines of that. I hope you're kidding.
I'm learning wtf ...
What's so funny about that, Harrison and Wvisoecj? He's trying to expand his knowledge outside of his classes, by doing work for people. He is practising and you find that comment funny?
That's OK that you're learning. I didn't mean to dissuade you from learning or anything. The reason I marked your post funny was because you offered free websites but didn't have the knowledge to do config files. WHICH IS OK. But it becomes a problem when you accept an offer that you think you can handle but you're halfway through and you realize you don't know/can't complete the job. That's why I was advising that you should make your own websites, your own templates, to test your skills and if you can't do it just yet. It's okay because no one is expecting it to be done in a day! If you think your stuff is good enough go ahead and put it on the resources section. And you're taking the funny rating way too far, I understand some people use it as the way you described but it's there and I have no other way of conveying my thoughts without writing this big post.
