Hello,

I am facing an issue which can only be described as freeze spikes. Every now and then i get one. It is where my game freezes for a second and then comes back like normal... This happens on multiplayer only.

Any ideas on causes?

Attached i have run "ping "server ip or name" -n 1000" to get some more information as to why it might be freezing?

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Grace.

Probably your allocated ram getting filled then clearing.
Should lag for a second right as that ram gets cleared ( not sure on the proper term )

No, while i'm ingame on a server the launcher appears to be using my CPU on and off causing spikes of lag.

You got Optifine?[DOUBLEPOST=1602935190][/DOUBLEPOST]How much ram did you allocate to minecraft? Can you give an exact amount?[DOUBLEPOST=1602935316][/DOUBLEPOST]
Also, please go in-game and press "F3". Send a screenshot of all the info you get (it should not have any sensitive information, so you can send the screenshot publicly without an issue).

Yes i do have optifine.

I have changed it, tested 2GB, 3GB and 6GB. All with the same issues.

Weird... I have allocated 2 GB to it as well and it barely has any lag spikes. I got 9 mods, shaders and texture pack used as well. This is on version 1.12.2.

Try the following:
  • Adjust Minecraft's Performance Settings
  • Update your Graphics Driver
  • Disable In-Game Overlays
  • Prioritize Minecraft & Java
I did some research and one person was having the same lag spike issue, but it was due to Spotify and Discord: https://slipe.xyz/uploads/dpmzy.png Kappa

Thank you :)

Good to see there are still helpful people on this forum <3

I tested all of the above, and i am still freezing or crashing at times.
