I don't think eclipse is banning people for no reason its just a big misunderstanding, that doesn't make her a bad staff member imo just human

[1] The issue is that this was not the case. Unless I personally misread the entire scam report and it's evidence, the trade deal was sent at the exact time Blaze was asked to send his trade, so it was not just an old trade request. Though, I can agree it was the fault of the seller for not verifying the information and checking if the trading account was actually friended with him. Both sides of the story fail to line up properly, the seller clearly failed to verify the trade, yet how could a random scammer have perfectly timed it to send a trade request right when the seller asked Blaze?
[2] It is a report that came down to details. It simply does not make sense that a random impersonator could have sent the trade at the same time as Blaze was asked. [3] Though, I will say, a bit more questioning should have gone into it prior to a decision being made on the report. Scam reports should be handled the same way legal cases are, evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. I am personally not sure if enough discussion was had to reach such a expectation of evidence. Quite honestly, I would see the report being closed due to a lack of conclusive evidence if a bit more discussion went into it. I agree with Eclipse that the trade deal being sent at the same time reflects suspiciously towards Blaze, though I would say that is simply too circumstantial and warrants a lack of reasonable doubt.
Do not take my above stance as a staff member's opinion, take it as my personal opinion. Notwithstanding my position as a CM, I do not always maintain a perfect alignment with every thing other staff members do, after all, if we all had the same opinion, Slack would be extremely boring.
Aside from this, please stop hating on staff members for doing their job, especially Eclipse. We all make mistakes and while some decisions may not be perfect, no one can do this job for more than a week and never make a single decision the community will disagree with, honestly, if you all agreed with everything we did, we probably would not be doing our jobs correctly.

I'm a bit late to this thread but I still want to know why Capaldi banned him so fast. There was obviously so much more figuring out to do before it would reasonably occur to anyone that a ban is warranted in that situation. The ban was solely based on assumptions, either due to bias or a lack of understanding. Blaze hypothesized that the ban was for personal reasons, which I know nothing about but since I know Blaze and trust him more, I hold that to be plausible.
Whether or not it was a fair scam report (based on Eclipse's handling), banning him that quickly didn't help anyone involved in the situation. FOE was left with no compensation, explanation or conclusion to the situation and Blaze was obviously... banned. If the scam report actually played out like it should've, it probably would've ended up with a closure due to inconclusive evidence but it wouldn't be as big of a deal because all of the facts and possibilities would've been laid out, with everyone able to analyze how the situation unfolded and allow reasonable decisions to be made.
The ban was definitely irrational and uncalled for and I hope justice runs its course and Blaze's appeal is accepted.

Hey all! I just wanna say some things since Capaldi accepted my appeal. (Which I'm especially grateful for, thank you once again.)
I definitely do not believe that Capaldi should've gotten as much hate as she has for banning me as she did. While I agree that the way she banned me was sort of abnormal, it was just a mistake on her part, which she has apologized for in my appeal. (And I forgive her for) Everyone makes mistakes and should be forgiven if they genuinely made a mistake, which she has. Even I will admit that the scam report looked really suspicious/fishy on my end, but I didn't scam FOE.
I really appreciate the support I received while I was banned off of here. I saw it while I was on my temporary appeal account, and it was very nice. Thank you to everyone who helped me figure things out while I was banned. (Especially people like Choo, User, and a few others who's MCM's I do not know.) I never could've imagined the amount of support & love I received, so thank you all for that!
If anyone wants to read my appeal, (or the main part to it at least) I've copied and pasted it onto the scam report on me which is still open. Whenever my message is accepted by Capaldi, you can read it here.
