There is no possible way of getting a free cape anyone can see legally but there is a way that people with the download can see yours and its completely free no viruses.
STEP 1:You must first visit this link: http://minecraftcapes.co.uk/ then on the right hand side press create new account.
STEP 2: Visit cape gallery and find the cape you want then right click on the cape net and press save as and save it somewhere you can remember (Desktop).
STEP 3
ress download and press in giant bold red letters Non-Forge 1.9 if your using 1.9 then click: Download 1.9 installer .It will say it can harm your computer. Thats because it has to be involved with java so press keep.
Step 4:Right click and press open on the download.Press the arrow and click 1.9 or what ever your using.wait for it to upload.
Step 5: now go to minecraft and press edit account in the bottom left corner and change your version of minecraft youll probably be on latest version.Well now there should be a version that says minecraft capes.click that and save account.No go onto any server and you will have a cape.
