Today we're excited to announce our new charity fundraiser, this time for Gamers Outreach!
Here at BuiltByBit, we are committed to making a difference through our annual charity fundraisers. We've held six fundraisers since 2015, with one occurring each year until 2020. It's been three years now since our previous fundraiser for Beyond Blue where we raised $17.3k, so we're excited to be bringing it back again in 2023 with something huge! Every time we've held a fundraiser we've been able to raise more money than the previous year, and this time around our goal is to raise $25,000 USD for Gamers Outreach.
BuiltByBit is donating 100% of the sales from this bundle to Gamers Outreach, with all transaction fees covered by us.
Our platform has changed a lot since 2020, and as a result, our fundraising has changed too. The fundraiser this year involves the following initiatives:
Charity bundle
Creators in our community have contributed coupon codes and licenses to hundreds of resources in one huge bundle. Everything that you need to create a new server or spruce up your existing one is included in this bundle, being designed to provide as much value for the lowest price possible. These contributors have generously pledged their products, asking for nothing in return - they're as excited as we are to support this cause!The bundle currently contains:
- 6 months free of Tebex Plus ($80 value)
- $25 of account credit from PebbleHost, with unspent credit expiring Oct 31 ($25 value)
- 3 months free of any paid JetBrains IDE ($50 value)

The bundle is extremely exclusive, only available throughout July and only up to 200 copies are being sold. The price is going to increase with every 50 purchases, so be quick to buy it today for the lowest price you can before it increases or sells out!
We've also joined forces with PebbleHost and Overwolf to make an additional contribution for each bundle purchased. BuiltByBit is contributing $10, PebbleHost with $10, and Overwolf with $6.25 on top of every bundle! This means that if you purchase this bundle for $80, BuiltByBit will donate a total of $106.25 to Gamers Outreach.

Username colours and medals
Charity events are the only time that we release exclusive gradient name colours that are only available this month, and this year we have a few different options available:- For $25: Buy a beautiful pink to blue gradient for Gamers Outreach which lasts forever!
- For $100: Buy an exclusive pink to purple heart medal on-site and pink to purple heart role icon on Discord!
- For $10 per day: Buy the outrageously exclusive rainbow username colour! Also comes with a rainbow emoji role icon on the Discord server.
Charity splits for resources
With the release of Pro resources, we introduced a powerful feature allowing authors to split a percentage of their earnings with other users. We're building upon this system to enable authors to split a percentage with Gamers Outreach for this month. You'll notice while browsing resources that some have a gradient on their cover saying that a percentage of their earnings are going towards the fundraiser. By purchasing from them, the specified percentage will automatically be collected by us and added to the fundraiser total amount that we donate!Unlike the bundle, we only opened up the opportunity for authors to set up a split today, so if you can't see any yet then check back tomorrow! If you're an author, you can create a charity split through your author dashboard.
You'll notice that we've not brought back the services forum concept from previous years where users could sell their creations or profile real estate. We decided that given the difficulty of managing the initiative in previous years, plus our more recent focus on resources, retiring it was the right call. It's also no longer possible to make a direct contribution to the fundraiser through starting a conversation with me, all purchases must happen through one of the four above initiatives. If you'd like to contribute a custom amount you can do so by purchasing days of rainbow.
Other ways to get involved
If you can't buy the bundle or account upgrades then there's still other ways that you can get involved! We're giving away 1 copy of the bundle to a random user who likes, retweets, and responds to our announcement tweet with your BuiltByBit username:The success of this fundraiser relies on it being shared with your friends and communities. The best way you can make an impact and help our initiatives succeed is to reach out to a friend or two who might be interested in the bundle and mention how great it is to them. If you own a Discord server with Minecraft server owners in it, we'd love for you to post an announcement. We've prepared an example message you can post here, or you can write your own.
Can I really get thousands of dollars of resources and other products for under $100? What's the catch?
There's no catch, you really can claim every single product mentioned on the charity bundle page for the price specified. Each of the creators who contributed licenses or coupons to their products are receiving nothing in return for their generosity.
Can I buy the name colour but change it back to a different one?
Yep! If pink to blue isn't your ideal colour then you can swap to any of your other colours through your preferences.
Can I gift the account upgrades and bundle to a friend?
You may gift the name colour or medal to anyone, but you are not allowed to use gifts as a form of payment. Since there are just 200 copies of the bundle available, we have not made it possible for the charity bundle to be gifted to others at this time.
What happens to the colour and medals after the 30 days are up?
In 30 days, this fundraiser will be over, so this colour will be removed from being purchasable on the site forever. You will still keep the gradient colour and medal and can use it forever once purchased.
How much of the contributions really go to charity?
BuiltByBit will be donating 100% of the purchase amount contributed towards Gamers Outreach. Please note that by purchasing the bundle you are not making a donation to Gamers Outreach, and so you won't receive a donation receipt. Instead, BuiltByBit will be separately making a donation to the charity in early August.
Can I get involved in other ways?
