Thread Title
Gaming PC

Prize name
$1 USD

Requirements and other relevant information
I don't know much about computers, just that I like to play games. I'm giving $1 to the person who designs me the best gaming PC for under £1000. ($1250)

My PC at the moment is good with no fps lag, but when I record videos for my channel on simple games like CS:GO and Rocket League, my fps goes below 30.

My Specs at the moment are:
AMD A10 Processor
8GB RAM
1TB Hardrive
1GB GTX 750Ti

I need a PC that will not lag when I record.

Thanks and I'll be choosing the winner based on other users agreeing.

End date
Apr 30, 2017

If award date is different from contest end date, please specify.

Is it silent / very quiet as my mic is less than a meter away from the box?
It is not optimized for quiet operation but it you have a pop filter your mic should bit be able to pick up the sound[DOUBLEPOST=1490186882][/DOUBLEPOST]

Fully quiet machines are usually more expensive

Are CS:GO and Rocket League the only games you play? Or do you play any other games with it.

I play CS:GO, Rocket League and GTA, but don't record GTA as it's an old game and people won't watch.[DOUBLEPOST=1490187116][/DOUBLEPOST]

No problem. That system is also optimized for video editing and rendering if you need it

Can you answer a short list of questions, please? It will help to determine what components suit you best.

1. Will the computer be used for anything else other than gaming or recording?
2. What form factor do you prefer? In other words a smaller form factor case, mid tower, full tower. Size has a small impact on heat, noise, and upgradability.
3. Do you have an aesthetic preferences? Such as the case, color scheme, LED's, sleeved cables.

1) I use it for Gaming, Recording, Editing, Rendering and browsing.
2) Size doesn't matter, just whatever is less noisy, but can fit everything that I need in.
3) I don't have any aesthetic needs for the case, it goes under my desk so I can't really see it, also I upload my videos when I sleep, so I'd rather have no glass on the case as it produces more light.

Thanks for your interest in this :D

Hello again,

Below are three options for your specific needs. From the information I gathered you wanted something silent, capable of gaming, rendering, editing. I have personally handled all of the hardware in this configuration except for the case in option #1. However, I have done extensive research on it and can verify that is it a fantastic looking case which provides great airflow, silence through dampening material and fans, and is very easy to assemble your computer in.

Option #1 is perfectly capable of handling all of your games at 1080p. The case doesn't provide as much silence as option #2 does, however, the cpu cooler and gpu should be relatively quiet. The gpu also stays at idle if it stays under 60 celsius. The storage configuration plus your 1TB HDD should be perfect for storage. You can optionally change the SSD to a 120GB over the 240GB if you personally prefer that. i7 is a no-brainer in this situation. And the 16GB should provide plenty of room for you to render, browse and game without any concern. Option #1 also stays under your 1000 Pound price budget.

Option #2 is a bit more expensive compared to option #1. Option #2 includes a much more silent CPU cooler. This particular CPU cooler is perhaps a bit more difficult to install for the first time. At least that is what my former colleague mentioned when he first worked with it.

If you dislike the case design in option #2 or find it doesn't have many reviews (it came out last month), then you can also go for the following case.
I have handled this case maybe 5 times (windowless and not windowless) can can personally verify that it is silent and provides a lot of airflow. It is more expensive however.

As previously mentioned you can optionally change the storage configuration to your liking. I personally find that 240GB in the long run is much more comfortable than 120GB. And in the event that you do decide to install more programs on your SSD, you'll at least have the room. You can also change the motherboard to a preferred brand if you like, or a different form factor. Although I can assure you that this motherboard can handle the tasks it requires to perform. The GPU can also be downgraded to a simple 960 4GB. If you are in fact on a tight budget and find that even 988 Pounds is a bit too pricey, you can always go for a 960 4GB. And I can assure you that it will handle GTA V, Rocket League and other games at 1080p while recording. I use this graphics card myself and have a lot of fun with it still.

If you have any questions, comments or concern regarding these options feel free to reply in this thread or shoot me a private message.

Kind regards,

Ares.[DOUBLEPOST=1490192755][/DOUBLEPOST]http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/sjX2FT/fractal-design-case-fdcadefr5bk It appears as if Amazon links are not available. Assume that this the case I mentioned after providing the link for option #2
