Once we reach the 120$ threshold I'll be donating the rest and provide Jay_H the funds to purchase the license.

Long story short: MC-Market Scam Report solver Lotus has decided to push an unfair decision on Jay_H scam report. Check it out here: https://www.mc-market.org/threads/450206/

We are asking people to cooperate and fund this to prove that we as a community encourage good and legit sellers, whether they have to sacrifice everything because of one's greed.

I will be donating to this cause once the outcome of the report has been confirmed by the buyer. I hope everyone else does too.

I don't think Lotus made an unfair decision. The entire report is predicated on the fact that both the buyer and the seller didn't pay that much attention into the deal being conducted. The buyer didn't bother to ask or even investigate whether an Xenforo license was included with the website being sold and the seller simply never made that kind of information known. Both are at fault in this scenario. Under the current circumstances yes, most of the Xenforo "themes" or "websites" don't come with a license. However, people shouldn't be selling cracked licenses or accounts on Mc-Market. This report can set a precedence for future misunderstandings like this one.

I don't see how we're supporting legitimate sellers by donating to someone who sold a website with an illegitimate license. Nevertheless, the scam report is still rather unfortunate.

I have never seen such a movement in regards to a decision made by the staff team.
I would also like to clarify, the decision wasn’t solely made by Lotus. If Justis or myself handled that scam report, the end result would be the same.

Does that include the rejection of a working license that does not receive updates because it’s after it’s 1 year warranty?

We discuss as a team for challenging situations, and move independently on simple ones.

The entirety of the scam report revolved around sellers stating their dependencies and limitations. The whole message to the community was that, which you seem to have missed. In other words, there is an expectation for you to disclose any of the license’s limitations, such as it being expired.

No such limitation was disclosed prior to the transaction, hence I don’t see any reason to force a compromise unless the buyer is willing to do so themselves.

Cracked stuff should just never be distributed so I think the scam report is fair, but I think _Senor_ is being way to greedy. Gl!
