General Suggestions for my pc upgrage

I Have an old pc, can someone suggest me some good upgrades

• i5-3450 @ 3.1G hz,
• 8 gb Ram DDR3 1600 mhz
• Graphic card GTX 1660
• Monitor 23 inch (60 hz)
• Sata 4 TB
• motherboard H61M-K

this is an old PC, would like to update processor, motherboard etc..
Please suggest me new parts (budget: 1500 dollars)

PC Requirements:

1. Learn programming like web, android, etc
2. Play games
3. Video Calls
4. Need to run both linux and windows as dual boot
5. Will use k8s or docker during development

Add at least a Sata ssd, if not a pcie one (you can get add in cards that allow you to install m.2 ssds). That would make everything faster.
Might be worth getting something like an i7 4770 used if you want slightly better multithreading and a higher clock speed - - needed for the android emulator.
Upgrade to 16gb of ram, the android emulator uses up a lot of the 8gb on one of my machines, so I'd say that this is important.

Treat yourself with a 144hz monitor.
Get a Ryzen CPU.
Upgrade that stinky RAM.
Graphics Card will handle most games, but with your budget, you can upgrade.

Build a whole new pc with the 1500, keep the 4 tb ssd.

Ngl for some of the stuff you’re wanting to do. Your graphics card would run fine.

But if you wanna your setup for 1500, get this:

Ryzen 7 3700x (soon to drop in price)
32GB of Corsair vengeance RGB memory at 3600 (if you don’t want RGB get the none RGB version)
RTX 3070 (keep the 1660, and when the 3070 comes out pick that up, or wait for aftermarket 3070’s come out)
Gigabyte x570 aorus board
500GB M.2 NVME storage
1x 1TB SSD’s
2x 2TB HDD
Corsair 850w Gold PSU
NZXT Kraken Cooler

Then really get any case that you want that can fit a 2 or 3 fan GPU & ATX mobo.[DOUBLEPOST=1602029700][/DOUBLEPOST]

Change from Intel to AMD as soon as you can, Intel sucks ballsacks.

Perhaps get more RAM?

For graphics card, buy the new 3080 that's coming out for like $600, hella cheaper than RTX 2080 Ti and it's BETTER!

Monitor, do yourself a favor and buy a 144hz one.

Intel doesn’t suck ass. Most people get this confused because while yes Ryzen is a amazing cpu for streaming, rendering, productivity work & gaming.

Intel is amazing for just gaming & putting in dell optiplex’s lol

but seriously most people who are telling you Intel is ass are usually streamers or content creators. Intels single thread peformance is literally 2x better than AMD & thats facts.

There is a reason every hosting solution still sticks with Intel over AMD. Because it is WAY better because of it’s better single thread performance (which when playing games & hosting game / web servers, it impacts the performance a lot)
