Genuine 1.13 Factions

Hello. I’m curious to see if anyone is aware of any genuine 1.13 Factions servers, or anything past 1.8, that is.

I know the 1.9 combat update sort of put the pvp community and Factions in a bad spot for this mode. A majority of servers now appear to be stuck in 1.8.

I’m wondering if anyone knows any Factions servers that are 1.13, because I can’t find any.

I’m potentially interested in making one for the upcoming 1.14 update. I realize this may be a big, if not impossible, feat to accomplish or even mildly succeed at. I, too, am skeptical of this. What would you personally take interest in about a genuine 1.9-1.14 Factions experience, and what would make you stay? Maybe what I should also be asking is what has been done in the past you felt was wrong and could be changed to better your liking and experience?

One of the reasons why there isnt factions on that update is cause it wont get players since there isn't any public cannon jars for that version (i'm just assuming tho)

Cannoning was reworked within the more recent updates, is what I’m taking from your response? I wasn’t fully aware of this if that’s the case. I guess I am skeptical because I too don’t necessarily have the knowledge of the latest updates because of somewhat being forced to play 1.8 on anything but survival, it’s kept me from experiencing the newer things. It’s unfortunate because I’m finally taking interest in exploring the latest versions in a mode or genre that has yet to be explored in. Just haven’t figured out the specifics or how to execute it properly in such a unique way.

Appreciate you sharing. I wasn’t aware cannoning had issues past 1.8. I’ll look into this more.

While I agree I’m not much of a fan of 1.9 pvp, there’s so much content outside of 1.8 that a majority of people have yet to explore because servers have been stuck on an outdated version for so long. As far as my knowledge goes, there are also plugins available to revert the combat system. I just feel as if there’s so much potential to be explored in a mode like factions which has never been exposed to the latest versions. It would be incredibly unique, pvp might be a sacrifice, but with all the other new additions, it would also fit into the whole scheme of things in the end. It is kind of disappointing in a way that 1.8 is still so prevalent.
