Getting into programming ?

Hey MC-Market,
I'm 15 years old, but I am very fascinated with programming and how much you could do with it as a career or even as a hobby to make a little extra money. I'm brand new to programming and I was wondering what other developers think is the best way to go about learning. Should I wait for college? Take an online class? Open to suggestions. Thanks

Im new as well and i coded my first plugin about 2 weeks back and all i did was watch some kid on youtube

Did you learn or did you just copy. It's better to learn then to memorize because memorizing is short term.
