Gift Name Colors you Own

Currently you can only separately buy a new name color to gift it to someone. I suggest being able to gift name colors you already own.

This suggestion, to me, just looks like a way to kill off not an insignificant portion of new name color purchases.

I am saying that in order for people to gift stuff they shouldn't have to buy a separate tag, if someone accidentally purchases a tag intending to gift someone and they expect to be able to gift it now what they have to buy a whole different tag for the person, whilst never using the one they had bought originally for the other person.

What do you mean by “tag”?
Your explanation has me confused on your meaning.

You are able to gift ranks and colors, whether you own them or not.

Ah, so you are saying that you want to be able to give away name colors you purchased for yourself. That’s what I originally thought you meant.
No, I’m completely against that for exactly the reason I mentioned originally.

if you bought it, you can't give it to someone else for free; just like if you have supreme/premium, you can't gift that for free. I'm assuming that's what you meant, but this entire thread is fairly vague.

I am explaining that it does not make sense to have name colors to set up in the manner suggested, especially considering that Supreme and Premium work the same way and you cannot gift them. Otherwise, MCM would make no money and the site would die.

Not really you still would have people buying the name they gifted to people if they still want it, they would buy it.

Or they'd just, you know, ask someone who does have it. Put simply, assuming everyone here was generous, you only would need 1 person to buy all the name colors, and then they could gift them, free, to the entire community.

As Justis has said, implementing this change would significantly decrease revenue for the site by users reselling their namecolours between users rather than buying them from the site.
