YupWould this basically be gifting a user a resource? If so, +1.
The individual who leaked the product would be held responsible and banned provided there's sufficient evidence. This would be a good time to mention that in an ideal world, the ability to block certain members from purchasing a resource using the usage criteria within the resource editor would also extend to blocking any member within that list from gifting/being gifted it as well.Gifting a "friend" the resource after the creator pissed me off the friend then leaks it. Who's the scam report get made on? Whos held responsible?
Unfortunately, this is no different from the purchaser themselves downloading your resource and then opening a dispute/chargeback currently. Both instances lead to an individual holding a copy of the resource while no longer holding usage rights to it, assuming the dispute/chargeback was successful. If you charge back after gifting me a resource, The creator lost money and now theres a free copy out there.
I agree. I think that while in theory this sounds like a really cool idea to boost the sales in our resources section, it wouldn't work like that in reality and just cause more issues than it solves.I do have to agree though that introducing this would bring drawbacks that are unneeded and disproportionate to the advantages it brings. This seems like a feature that we'd require the resource author to opt into, thus lowering the utilisation of it and not making it consistent across all resources.
