Github Account on profile

This would be purely for all the developers of the forum to easily show off their skills to would-be clients. After all, an active Github (with regular commits) likely means the developer is passionate about code and not just a faker.

This wouldn't cost anything to implement as it would only require another text field in Contact Details section where the user can type their Github username.

I'm neutral. You could easily put your github link in your signature or information tab. If you are debating on working with a specific user, you should be doing research and communicating with that user. One of the questions you should ask should go along the lines of "Are you active on GitHub, and if so can you link your profile?".

Seems like extra work for something that is essentially already implemented.

And it really doesn't involve any extra effort to implement because MCM already has the plugin to do it.

By that logic, why show Discord, Steam, Origin, XBox Live, PSN, Twitch, LoL, Skype, Twitter, Insta, when you could just put it all in your signature?

Most of those mentioned apply to most of the people in this community, gamers, and socialists. GitHub applies to (mostly) programmers.
