Pretty sure it's already done, but blackmailing like this could definitely do with an extra warning.
I would like to note to staff that the policy to 'work it out' with the other person encourages this. It also encourages people revenge-repping to ensure they've got leverage to make the other person remove it.
Honestly I'm not sure why we've not already implemented a rule that requires a reference to the situation(s) that led to the reputation. It would help improve the value of both positive and negative rep (no "vouch, cool guy!" OR "This guy's the next hitler, DNDW!") by clarifying boundaries of what is and is not acceptable.
And I would definitely like to see some form of definition of what is acceptable to 'return' reputation and what isn't. Because the user in question seems to do a LOT of revenge-repping. He's started doing so this year specifically, for deals several months old, and is clearly trying to use it as leverage to get his own negative reputation removed.
This rates as abuse of the reputation system at the least.
I agree. A false reputation got removed on me, the person continued to add false reputations and the staff team continued to remove them. He got no warning that affected him in any way.
If someone is maliciously misusing the reputation system through threats and blackmail for example, that usually would result in warning points. It depends on the severity of the situation for whether staff members assign points or not.
Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
