Hi all, I would like to give away 16Craft, a highly niche Minecraft server and community based on the MBTI 16 personalities theory. I am specifically targeting those who are quite passionate in the Minecraft server business and are willing to spend a decent amount of time into professionally developing and maintaining the server. You should be able to deal with server-related stress effectively, and it will be absolutely ideal if you have a bit of Java programming experience, Minecraft server managing experience, and some ability to handle member-to-member issues.
As for me, university will start next year and I will be looking for a part-time job very soon along with a few more courses; hence, I will barely have time to look after the server and fix issues. Once I get this server off my hands, I will step down as server owner and focus on my life.
16Craft
As mentioned earlier, this server is based on the MBTI personalities theory, which means it is not like any other Minecraft server and is a lot more niche. MBTI itself has a small yet passionate community of people who are highly interested in getting to know the personalities of others, with around 170,000 followers on Reddit. I started this server with an acquaintance as an experiment to see what and how each personality type would do and behave on the server.
16Craft is not a big server at all; as of late, the community Discord chatroom has around 60 members only and the Minecraft server itself peaks at around 5 players maximum. The server used to have around 10 to 20 people online last year and has gained around 100 USD in donation revenue in total.
Despite the server being very small, it is fairly tight-knit community-wise and I believe it has a lot of potential to grow and become more popular especially within the MBTI community due to how niche it is. It will definitely gain more traction if more effort is put into the server; this is why I am specifically targeting passionate server owners who are actually interested in operating and managing a Minecraft server and are capable of handling stress very well.
The server has three main game modes: Creative, Peaceful Survival, and Clans. Each personality type has its own creative flat world, and there is also a main creative world where everyone can build. Peaceful Survival is basically survival but without PvP in easy difficulty. Clans is basically fixed factions, you will join one of the four factions based on your personality type. Clans is the only game mode where griefing and raiding are allowed. There is also a building competition world where solo and teams building competitions will be held.
The server uses Paper, a fork of Spigot, and frequently experiences lag issues, which is why it is ideal if you have Java programming knowledge.
