I know there have been a few suggestions to stop GoFundMe posts and related. I honestly think we should not ban all of them, for example a GoFundMe for Minecraft related things since this site is for Minecraft and related things. Yesterday I saw this post http://www.mc-market.org/threads/118709/#post-1300845 and I was basically just laughing, this stuff has nothing to do with this website and if anything it should at least be on the begging part of the site.

I just think that we should allow it only if it is relevant. Even though I don't support asking for money it would be a lot better if they have relevance.

I already said why I disagree. And I still disagree. Sure post about people trying to get money for a new xbox and etc should not be allowed. But gofundme pages for funeral costs or for sick family members and friends should be allowed.

There already were posts like that just for scams, I understand some maybe real but scammers just sabotage it for everyone and it is really sad to see people take advantage of sad things like death and medical problems. I remember some guy got a picture of some random guy holding a dog and said hey look my dog is sick pay for his operation. I did some research and I searched the image on google and there was already another petition where this guy copied from

My say on this:

I really don't care if kids want to start up a 'Help me pay for my new computer' but don't attempt to scam everyone by calling it 'Help me with my dogs medical bills'. (for moderators who can see deleted posts, check this out http://www.mc-market.org/threads/115258/#post-1268225).

Anyways, I don't really care if people are asking for money for starting a new online business or website such as a hosting company, a custom Minecraft server, or a useful tool like namemc & chatlo.gs. (but of course there are investments for things like this too)

But when people post asking for an expensive gaming PC or new car that is where pointless threads are generated as no one is generous enough to donate when there is nothing for them in return. However this doesn't really bother me as much as when people post things about medical bills for a dog, to find cure for a disease, or to stop the bank from taking grandma's house. When people post things like this it is extremely hard to tell if this person's story is real (and most of the times it is not).

Yah I completely agree with the part you stated about funding for Minecraft servers, websites, plugins, etc.
I remember stating that same thread for the dogs medical bill which actually got donations but it was fake just do a reverse image search on the gofundme picture and you find out its a scam. Scamming people for their kind heart is terrible!
