I know this is pretty low of me. But please understand me. Don't hate on the thread, I know it's stupid but I need it. Please. I can provide pictures, and all the proof needed just please don't trash.

So, my close friend/girlfriend (we ain't dating cause of personal issues between us both, but you know) is cutting herself, she's crying e.t.c.
Why?
Because according to her her life is shit.

I want to be there to be able to support her, however, I can't. I live in the U.K. (England) and she lives in Denmark. So I setup a gofundme. There's a lot more of the story there. For anybody needing proof, I'll provide proof of her crying, our chat conversations whatever the fuck you need for me to be able to get the funds, for god knows I'll do anything to get these funds. I just want to be there to support her.

I know that nobody has the heart to donate but worth a shot.

So I need the money to be able to go to Denmark. I need to go to Denmark to visit one of my friends, they are currently going through a very bad time, they are feeling really bad, and without showing it, I feel as they are thinking of self-harming due to the use of language e.t.c.

At school, they have no friends, she had friends last year but some people spread a rumour around and she has no friends causing her to be lonely all the time.
She messaged me last night saying something along the lines of "my life is shit everything about it is shit".
She's basically being bullied, but nobody can stop it everybody has tried. I just want to be there for her and I need to go visit her to support her.

I've come here, since I have nobody else to really ask for support, if I can get this then it would be so hugely appreciated from every one of you who have been able to fund this. I will be very happy, well more than happy. There are no words that can describe it, and same goes to her.

She doesn't know I am doing this, I wish to make it more of a surprise, and if I able to do this, then I would contact her mother to be able to get there e.t.c.


I need the funds by preferably Saturday since I wish to leave on Sunday as it is the cheapest option.

This is for me and my dad the plane tickets.

First of all I think it is great that you are willing to go to Denmark to see this girl, I think it will be an amazing surprise for her during this difficult stage in her life. I understand that not a lot of people will donate because quite frankly not a lot of people will care as they have no relations with this girl and do not know her. However, I do not think it is fair to say that "nobody has the heart to donate" as there are plenty of people out there who would donate but are otherwise not available to do so at this moment. I know why you said that and I want you to know that I am not trying to offend you or anything of the sort I just felt I should point it out. I halfheartedly wish you and friend good luck in the future and I hope that you get the funds that you require! I will do my best to spread this around to try and acquire funding for your trip.

EDIT: You are going to have to make your cause sound more worthy as well, if people are going to donate you need to REALLY sell it to them. You need to make it as if every day is her last day, you need to guilt trip them into donating. It may seem shallow or an unethical thing to do, but if it can help save your friend then morality is out of the window.

Money can't resolve depression. You simply can't "buy" yourself off of depression and self-harming. Instead, be a real help and contact https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ and get her professional help instead of trying to visit her at Denmark lol.. I'm more than positive that "visiting" her won't resolve her depression as she needs to fix up her life by herself. Only the person themselves can resolve/overcome depression. No one else has the ability to.

From my opinion, this is simply ridiculous and there are other ways to resolve this. Good luck with this campaign.

The money will be used so that he may go to Denmark and then comfort her and help her through this in person. There may be other ways to do it, but in person is always the best. It's just flat out ignorant that you would say that this is ridiculous, I highly doubt that you've ever experienced anything of this sort.

I'm so glad you can predict the future, you are going to become a valuable asset to the world. You do not know if the issue will be resolved while he is in Denmark, now I understand that depression cannot be eradicated in a small period of time. It's a journey of patience and progress. However, if he goes to Denmark he can hopefully set her on that path so that she may begin to see live to what it truly is.

As Kaito said - you can't predict the future. Maybe for the 2ish weeks I go there, she'll be happy after I leave, still have depression, but not be at the state and the amount of pain she currently is in.

PS. As long as you are over 14, you can work. Newspaper, Golf Helper, Work at cafes and etc. You can even freelance your way through.
Don't think that everyone would just throw you money here because of your "unfortunate" situation. This is how the world is.

First of all, you cannot guarantee that he can actually get a job anywhere. You do not know the circumstances of either the job or his life. "That is how the world is." Well, let's change it! Everyone should help anyone they can in any way possible, I understand that you may have had some bad experiences in your life and you've came to the conclusion that that is how the world is because possibly no one helped you during your time of struggle. But, there are people out there who do actually care about situations such as this one.
