Just lookin for some good games that I can get for $20, here's my top 12 most played games:

Ever tried CS:GO? It's a free game however, I highly suggest getting the prime upgrade, to avoid cheaters.

You can honestly just play your way up. Once you reach Level 21, you get prime for free and save $15

Terraria (and with mods) can be very grindy without any exploits. Heavy farm building absolutely. Worth a try cause it's cheap and it's a beautiful beautiful game.

If you're looking for a quickish~ game, BTD6 or BTD5 depending on your taste. It's a tower defence game; "strategy", but unless you're in hard mode or expert or whatever, you don't have to be too strategic. Two very good games.

Portal, Portal 2, etc. They go on sale fairly often I think? Cheap games and if you can get them in a bundle with other games like Half Life, even better. Love Portal so much.

Starbound, Robocraft are honourable mentions too. Haven't played them in a while but they're awesome.

It seems like you play a lot of shooters so I highly recommend SuperHot. It's a really cool game with a really unique concept and it's also around 23$. Definitely worth even the full price in my opinion but you can also get it when it's on sale.

A safe bet is to get a AAA game from a couple years ago. It will still be just as fun, but it will cost a lot less than it did new. Other than that, here are some games I would recommend personally (some of which are indie-games).

If you can find it at sale, Civilization V. By far one of the greatest games you can get for that money. Make sure to get the complete edition though. This one is usually cheaper outside steam (places like humble store
Rocket League
Portal/Portal 2 (Seriously, some of the best games ever, especially Portal 2. If you get it at a sale, which is really common, you can get them for basically nothing)
GTA IV
Witch It
Game Dev Tycoon
If you have friends to play with, a mini-golf game like Golf With Your Friends or Tower Unite
One of the Jackbox Party Packs (again, with friends. I recommend #2 because that's the one I've played the most. Only one person needs to own the game.)
