Good deal? Ripped? TELL ME!

Hey everyone, I was looking for PC Parts, so I can build my first PC (on ebay)! I have never built one before. This first thing I looked for was a CPU.

I found this deal for a
Intel Core i5-2400 Quad Core 3.1GHz
For $50, with free shipping. I thought this was already a good deal, but I messaged the seller if he was willing to let it go for $40.

Few minutes later, he actually does let me buy it for $40!

So basically, I got an Intel Core i5-2400 Quad Core 3.1GHz for $40. What do you guys think? Good deal or nah?

Its not the best CPU, but its quite good. Along with a half decent graphics card and you'll be good for most games. $40 is quite a good price for it.

Yeah, thanks! I am currently trying to buy an AMD Radeon HD 6950, what are your opinions on it?

6950's okay. Should be able to run MC with a lower shader pack, CSGO etc. Possibily even some higher end games like fallout 4 on the lower settings.

But that's a good CPU I will suggest you go with an
i5-6100 if you find a good deal on it
And for a graphics card i suggest you to get a good budget there and buy a RX480 so it can last you and play high end games

The i5-6100 doesnt exist. The 6100 is an i3 if i remember correctly. I wouldnt say its better than the one he has purchaced. The i3-6100 does have a higher clockspeed but its only a dual core. More importantly its double the price of the i5. Motherboards for the i5 are also cheaper. They both perform about the same: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-2400-vs-Intel-Core-i3-6100/803vs3511 Personally if i was given the choice, i would have still picked the i5. Wouldnt really be able to justify double the price for a negilable performance increase.

I am sticking with the i5-2400, also I bought a
"Galaxy NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB GDDR5"
^^ Bought it for really cheap, $32 + $4.29 Shipping

Look, im not trying to make a beast pc. I am trying to make the LEAST possible ($$$ wised) PC that can run decently. By the looks of it, a GTX 560 Ti can probably run many games smoothly
