Good features in a server?

I want to learn more about MC servers. My question is: What makes for a good server according to you or anything that you have heard? I'm working on a server, that is the reason that I am asking this question for anyone wondering

try not to make one of those super basic survival, kitpvp and skyblock servers, be more original like add less known gamemodes. Maybe new gamemodes no one ever heard of?

I've actually got a pretty unique idea. Something never seen before that one server did, but didn't do well in my opinion. I will do that for the first gamemode. I'm still looking for a partner though, so if you were to be interested, please contact me on discord (CosmicDev#0401)

In my eyes, a good server:

• Has friendly, helpful staff
• Has unique gameplay
• Is not overrun by rich players (p2w)

Being unique comes at a cost, though. Coding and building is very expensive, so unless you can do some of that yourself, you'll find yourself paying a lot in startup costs.
