Hi there,

I'm planning on buying a new graphics card (Asus Strix gtx 1070 or 1080). I would like to know where I can buy them for a good price, and if it's worth to buy from the USA as I live in The Netherlands. I saw GPU's go for cheaper, but you need to pay taxes/import costs when it crosses the border right? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest checking out https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/ as they constantly post sales on PC parts. Some of the retailers will likely ship to you.

I am not entirely sure where you should buy your GPU since you live in the Netherlands. I would suggest trying to find a sale on the more "local" websites that sell that type of item.

Good luck on your hunt. :)

Not to mention that it could be damaged whilst being imported.

dont even think about buying a 1070 or a 1080 rn because the 1070 price is going down hopefully and the 1080 is not worth it i would say if you want to buy rn and your are looking for a high end gpu get the 1080ti the 1080 isnt worth it or just wait till prices go down and get a 1070 or an rx 580

GTX 1080's and GTX 1080 TI's are very inefficient at mining Ethereum, they are hardly affected by the crypto currency craze. If you are willing to spend nearly six hundred dollars on a new graphics card, I doubt you are overly concerned about saving more than $20 from the MSRP.

I find it so funny that this kid that cannot even spell out words like 'pretty' and 'right now' thinks he knows everything about crypto mining hardware and graphics cards. He even said that the GTX 1080 and 1070 perform exactly the same!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

What do you mean? I talked about the 1080 because tbh its not worth it as the 1070 does the same job except if you are gaming on 4K not because the mining shit, its not worth to get a 1080, so i would say wait till 1070 price goes down.

The cryptocurrency craze is far from over. Even with the new rulings in China attempting to regulate crypto and tumbling prices it is still very easy to turn a profit mining cryptocurrency, due to that, the graphics card prices are going to remain high.

It simply is not worth waiting multiple months for the prices to recover within the midrange market.
