I'm looking for a laptop that I could use for Minecraft, Java Coding and other small things, I'm not looking for a gaming laptop... Any suggestions... By the way a chromebook would work but It would have to be able to switch to linux for MC and coding.

Laptops don't last long, I encourage you to get a desktop.

I can't tell you what to get exactly, but I CAN tell you to avoid cheap Acer laptops at all costs. Unless you enjoy Firefox freezing at 5 tabs. Then I guess you could go for it.

Ignore the "build a PC" twonks.
Look pre-owned. You can get a decent laptop that more than covers what you want it to do well within your price range if you go a few years back. It would most likely out-perform what you could get now for the same price.

Best thing to do is search for the best cheap gaming laptops for 2013/2014. And then look on sites such as eBay for pre-owned models. You'll get a decent spec laptop, most likely with a decent dedicated graphics processor, that can achieve everything you want it to.

I have a laptop from 2011, I bought it used from 2013 and it's still working good, it's a dell laptop, don't go with toshiba if you ever buy a laptop, I used it for a day and the motherboard burnt.
