Got Scammed

Hey everyone. I’m in a really bad mood rn because I just got scammed by someone impersonating someone on the website. I was looking to sell my btc For PayPal, and this guy pmed me on discord, saying that he has the same discord as this guy, which he seemed to have as it was in the his bio, also saying that he has lots of rep. After, I found out that he somehow used Unicode lettering to make me think he was this person off the site.
(I know I should have asked him to pm me on site.)

how do you get scammed within 7 days of joining. You could have been smarter and researched a bit more.
