It’s come to my attention after re-joining the site recently that graphics designers and artists are still being heavily underpaid to what they are meant to be paid. Just wanna make a short PSA on that real quick...
So, my sister is an artists. She doesn’t do commission graphics or any of that stuff on here, but she has in the past and she knows the struggle of being heavily underpaid for the work she puts into a project. Various artists make fantastic, elaborate and genuinely unique graphics, art, etc and get paid virtually nothing. I understand this is a Minecraft forum, but regardless, the work they are putting in and the appreciation they are getting out is minimal.
There are artists that will make a fantastic custom profile picture, banner, (etc) pack for someone and get paid only 20 dollars, which is absolutely absurd. I know this thread won’t make a difference probably one way or the other, but just to let you know, artists and GFX designers get underpaid as shit.
There are artists/GFX designers that are forced to undercharge for their work due to the 15-year-olds on this forum not being able to afford it and it sucks, cause they really do deserve more. If you ever encounter a GFX designer or artist undercharging themselves due to no one wanting to actually spend an appropriate amount of graphics, give them a tip. It’ll be appreciated, help them possibly get new supplies and give them an extra boost because they know they’re doing something right.
