Theres not really anything that good under $50, I know theres a HUION and a Wacom bamboo (if those are still sold anywhere) under $50.
I started with an Intuos pen and touch which is also discontinued but I've seen them still selling online in the small version for £25 or so.

Unfortunately, you won't get anything that is a decent quality for $50. You would have to go $100 minimum to get something that might actually work. I'm currently using a Huion New 1060PLUS, and it's working pretty well for me, even though I am a beginner when it comes to hand drawn art. The graphics tablet is really big for its size, there are buttons/hotkeys (A wacom intuos pro has similar features for $400) and comes with some nice stuff like 16 nibs, a smudge guard, and is just overall amazing for its price. It costed around $90 for me if you are interested to buy it.

yeah, huion and wacom and probably the best you can get, but if you're really willing to forego quality, you can probably get a cheaper made in china one for less than 50 if you search around a bit. but honestly don't recommend it.
