A server that is based off of a specific fanfiction will for sure not get hundreds and hundreds of new players daily, but if it is actually properly set up then it will have a chance of gathering a smaller playerbase filled with people who will not leave the community the very next day right after they firstly joined it. I have personally met people who made hundreds of dollars monthly via their online server shops. That money kept the server up and probably made its owners a nice cut too. It is pretty simple to be completely honest. Larger servers have more players, but the big majority of them is not even nearly as active as the 10 players on a smaller server can be. They all play on the server on a regular daily basis for several hours to simply reach the top within their respected gameplaying system. Some Naruto servers even had up to roughly 40 players online most of the time (which is pretty good even for a regular server nowadays), so putting 2 and 2 together, the amount of players does not always fully affect the general success rate of a server. The Naruto/Boruto community is really big and many popular servers of such sort went down quite a while ago, thus giving this guy right here an amazing chance of establishing an active community.
