Greetings!
Ammar T and I are creating a new service in which we are combining both of our skill sets to provide a group plugin programming session every week. Ammar T has been providing 1-1 lessons for 2 years through MC-Market and I am currently running a Bestseller course on Udemy for Minecraft plugin development. We are both very successful in providing people with the knowledge to develop Minecraft plugins, and there are hundreds of success stories!

The lesson will run weekly at Saturday 10:00PM UTC and will hold a maximum 10 students. If demand is higher than this then we will expand into multiple groups and all will be informed of any changes that will affect them. Classes will run for 2 hours and will cost $2.50 each. Support is always provided in the Discord with a dedicated questions channel so you're never alone!

If you have an interest in learning to program Minecraft plugins and would benefit from this weekly lesson, you can join the dedicated Discord:
https://discord.gg/KbRhvCC

The first lesson is running on 23 September 2017 and is for beginners. Join the Discord and quickly fill out in #applications and we'll see you on Saturday! ;)

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Would you ever consider teaching Java rather than basic Minecraft plugin development?

Java is needed before you learn the SpigotAPI
Another member of the bandwagon. Not for the benefit of this thread, but instead for the benefit of any people out there wanting to develop plugins: You CAN learn them both at the same time. If you want proof, years ago I started learning the Spigot API and easily picked up Java along the way, and a week back I made an artificial intelligence that plays pacman for me (and advances to the point of winning almost every game) in Java, completely unrelated to Spigot. Stupid example but totally correct, I did it and I'm as confident with Java as I am that I have toast each morning. Java is not needed before you learn the API - you can't use Spigot without basic Java knowledge (of course!), but if you learn them side by side it works out just fine. I did this and I'm very far in Java, to do this you need to put in the effort outside of the API but that is not these lessons. These lessons are the API and Java - I'm sick of people jumping on the bandwagon that you must learn Java before the API or the big man himself in the clouds will smite you.
