Starting up
Starting up is not hard,but many people overestimate
the hardness of the job.I would reccomend getting many
(i mean LOTS) of small advertisements from small but
active youtubers.Many times,a 500k youtuber will ask for
300 $ for wich you will get 20 players (usually) while
paying 15$ at 20 (per) small youtubers will get you allmost 150 players.
Find some yotubers,check their analytics,view,time of view,and choose
the ones with the most active subscribers.They will usually be cheap if they
are around 20k subscribers and are not in a veery pricy country
(ex. Bulgarian with a english subscribers and good community at 10$)
and NOT high money countryes like
(DONT DO THIS - 500k youtuber in america - 500 euro)
The idea is : Get many small ones
Servers you should be making
This is the ranking of servers you should/n't do:
WORST START POINTS (Prison,Factions)
(too many to start off this way - you need to fight archon and other huge networks)
NOT RECCOMENDED START POINTS (Creative , boring things)
(they are boring and not that addictive,not going to get many players this way)
RECCOMENDED START POINTS (Survival,SkyWars,SurvivalGames)
(addictive but easy to find,try doing something more to get to BEST)
BEST START POINTS (Something never seen - SkyWars RPG - IDEAS)
(Allthough you start with a new thing,you will have 0 competition and will be able to advertise and improve)
(MY ADVICE: Made a GTAMP minecraft server - RPG - and got like 80 players constant without much work - 100 euros / month)
McMarket usage
McMarket will be your main place to search for servers.
You will need to know what to buy and what to sell,and also
what is illegal.Check the rules,get a reputation,and read this:
> DONT BUY UNFINISHED SERVERS - You won't know how to finish it probabbly,ideas are not sold too
> SELL WHAT YOU DIDN't GET POPULAR / OLD VERSIONS - Sell what you dont use now or bad ranked's
> DONT GO FOR MOST KNOWN - They are ussualy more pricy.Newbies might be good but low-priced.
> SCAM PREVENTION IS KEY - Give an encrypted file (like .rars w. pass) and ask payment for pass.

I can run a 600 player server on 64 gb of ram if i want.
Dont overgive.For 80 players give 5 gb of ram,that's it.
Optimise and teach players what they shouldn't do and that's it!!!
Disable what u dont need.You can easily use paper spigot and other measures to
get a good server.
Hosting
Hetzner & OVH and that's it.
Nothing else to say.
